Class Participation – UPDATE!

November 18, 2011

Congrats to Melissa Ross Matton for winning our $25 gift card for participating in our blog entry below!

We need some feedback!

We were thinking up new class ideas & wanted to get our customers’ & friends’ feedback before committing.

Submit a comment with feedback for class ideas & we’ll enter your name for a random drawing for the $25 gift certificate with Needlepoint.Com.Winners will be announced on November 18th.

Hey, you never know… you could get money just for stating your opinion! Don’t you wish all of life was like that!

Our topic: We are thinking about doing a class on self-finishing. Specifically, we wanted to teach customers how to lace their own canvases in order to frame their finished designs better. Some things we’d cover in the class include the “right” way to frame your piece, whether to use glass vs. not, how to lace your canvas for the best look on a frame, etc.

Would you be interested in taking a class on how to frame your needlepoint piece the right way? Any other great class ideas you would be interested in taking with us?

Let’s hear it!!

Epilogue to Creepy Characters

November 2, 2011

As I mentioned at the beginning of this adventure, I have never chosen to stitch anything remotely related to Halloween.

I have so enjoyed working on each and every one of the eight Creepy Characters completed to date.  Robin has done all the heavy lifting with her fab stitch guides.  All have been beautifully written and the diagrams have been some of the best I have ever seen.

Truly a wonderful project for anyone wanting to improve their technical skills, or simply have a passion for all things Halloween.

While each ornament is cute in its own way, there is a level of sophistication to the background stitches.  Robin uses great threads in beautiful combinations.

I cannot recommend this series more highly, and look forward with great anticipation for future Robin King stitch guides!
