Thanks to everyone who posted their comments about the favorite place to stitch. We loved hearing your responses! It seems being near the A/C is a key component for happily stitching away in the summer heat.
We just pulled our winner randomly from a bowl

And the winner is……..

Sue Dulle!
Her comment: “My stitching spots remain the same in my air conditioned nests but with either (and sometimes both) a ceiling fan or floor fan whirrling away.”
Thanks for participating and stay tuned. We will be posting more questions in the future for more exciting giveaways — free canvases, threads, who knows! We look forward to hearing from all of you soon!

When I first started working at the .Com, I noticed that many customers and staff had “HELENZ Bags” for carrying their projects. I thought to myself ”how silly–why don’t they just use baggies?” I am a penny pincher and a coupon clipper so I was not sure why they were better than a baggie. I have quickly become a convert to the carry-alls that we have in the store. Helenz bags are wonderful. The Helenz bags are sturdy, convenient, and multipurpose with a real zipper top. We stock a variety of sizes from belt size to your largest project. Notice that Jo has a bag of threads inside her project bag–the perfect solution for keeping fibers from fraying.

A new favorite that we have in the story is the “Handy Caddy”. It sits upright with an open top and has side pockets to stash your scissors and other accessories. This is very convenient to have at your fingertips when you sit down to stitch in the evening.

Come visit the shop or log onto our accessories page to see the our full range of bags and other accessories.

Custom needlepoint pieces can be great projects to work on. Beth Gantz has a number of bright designs that you can customize.
I recently ordered the “Emerson” design above for my daughter after seeing a picture of other custom pieces available. She is coming out with more custom designs for boys with an argyle pattern so stay tuned!

Step into Spring!
We are excited to carry the full line of the new Elizabeth Bradley needlepoint kits — the Blooms series. Created by Kirk & Hamilton for Elizabeth Bradley, these needlepoint designs feature fresh, brilliant colors and we just love the bright, new look.
Similar to the Elizabeth Bradley “Classics,” the “Blooms” kits let you choose the background color you want for a custom look. So far, we’re in love with Duck Egg blue (shown on the Camellia Blossom above) and the Pale Lime green, but there are 8 different ones to choose from. You can stitch each kit on a different background color and join as a rug for a unique, checkered look that would be any stitcher’s crowning achievement!!
There are four new designs currently available in the shop, but new designs will be released in upcoming months. Keep your eyes out for these fantastic new needlepoint kits!
